About Us

Little Buds Nature Club Escondido.jpeg

We Are: a vibrant community of predominantly home-school families, united by our shared passion for adventure and commitment to learning how to live on Earth in healthy and sustainable ways. Families meet weekly in wide-open, out-of-door spaces to target age-appropriate skill development through nature-inspired activities designed to stimulate meaningful connections amongst children, caregivers, our community and the natural world to inspire lifelong love and stewardship of our planet.

Our Mission: is to empower children and their families by teaching the core ethics and design principles of permaculture through engaging outdoor field trips, courses, and workshops. With a focus on sustainable energy and resource management, children explore natural environments which require critical thinking and calculated risks to learn to evaluate potential dangers and make informed choices about how to proceed. Safety is our top priority. Families come to LBNC meet-up's to learn how to prepare for and to navigate potential hazards which could be encountered in natural spaces such as wild animals, toxic plants and extreme weather conditions.

Our Vision: is to cultivate a profound sense of care and responsibility for our Earth and all the life it sustains within a global community of humans. We envision individuals choosing to live in ways that create ripples of healing and abundance for people and the planet, ensuring a legacy of sustainability for generations to come.

Our Pricing: The cost is $60 per class, per child. However, our meet-ups are designed with a spirit of accessibility, ensuring that everyone can participate regardless of financial circumstances. If cost is limiting you from exploring with us, please contact us to learn more about our scholarship program.
